Bio: |
Javier was born in Hoboken NJ in 1969. "As a young child my interest in art was initially inspired by cartoons and comics," explained Soto. Later on he took a great interest in grafiti, and his career took off from there. 1985-1990: Airbrushed as a hobby and for friends and family. 1990-1996: Worked as T-shirt airbrusher for several shops. 1995: Attended my first Airbrush Getaway (Craig Fraser's second class) 1996: Wrote my first how-to article for Airbrush Action Magazine 1996-1997: Opened and operated Airhead Grafix(a T-shirt/general airbrush shop) with a partner. 1997-2005: Custom painted bikes and cars for Paintrix in South Hackensack, NJ 2001: Was invited to join the Airbrush Getaway staff 2005 to present: Custom paint bikes and cars for a custom chopper shop. Currently, Javier Soto lives in Fairview, NJ with his wife, Dana, and his twin 5-year-old daughters, Melanie and Briana. |
