sorry to be a pain, i tried to check out some of your stuff on myspace but since i dont have a myspace account believe it or not and you have your settings set to private i couldnt really check out some of your work.how long total did you work at troylee designs? did you get to work on some of the top racers stuff and help come up with some of there designs and charecter work?if so like who?i hate to be such a pain but man i have been a fan of the work that comes from that place and the artists that work there for a long time, i guess since i was 14 or so, maybe you can understand. i race also, motox and roadracing, that is what drives me along with art. what types of paint, guns, and things do you use personally? i use i guess what is the industry standards- iwata and hok but would love to learn more about the techniques. i have alot of trouble with the tape outs of all the trim on helmets sometimes, especially when it comes to getting a good _layer_ of clear on my work without it being so thick down next to the trim around the bottom of the helmets so that when i pull the tape there is a noticable edge that is an eye soar. i have tried to spray thin as i go toward that edge but what do you do if you cant remove the trim? and i have always wondered about the technique used to get the checkered type squares and things on the old _style_ helmets of scott russle. can you help any? thanks for your info though. its cool to talk with someone whos art i have admired for so long and learn how they produce those things.
