I am trying to find a mentor or beginner class in my area to teach me the basics of airbrushing. Im in the greater Grand Rapids area of Michigan and have had no luck finding anything in my area. I need help.

Check a local community college, many have non-credit and credit classes. Also, stop in at a local art supply store that sells airbrushes and ask them - many stores offer classes, or have contact info for instructors that they can give you. Finally, if you know anyone that shoots, ask them to teach you...it may not be formal training, but if there's truly nothing around, then at least it gets you shooting paint. But I would think a big city like GR would have tons of places to learn...I know Detroit does. Does GR have a Miller's Art Supply? Detroit has two or three of them, and they offer a very good airbrush class, as did Oakland County Community College. Sorry I can't offer more direct info, it's been years since I've been to GR...good luck!
